Good evening ladies, I hope you are all well tonight. I was very interested in seeing all your pics taken with Gareth, but realise that not everyone may have met him yet. For those that have, it would be great if you could share that first experience with us all. Were you nervous? Did you speak to him? What was your first impression of him? Good Evening H For those of us lucky fans that have had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful man I think the first time is the most memorable. The first time I met Gareth was at Pulse Radio in Bradford March 27th 2007, he was doing a Radio Interview promoting "Changes" we had been waiting for about an hour (we had got there early, Gareth wasn't late) and this car pulled up and someone said its Gareth's OMG nervous wasn't the word I was terrified (of what I don't know) then he started to walk towards us and as he got closer I thought he's so tiny I expected him to be bigger, and he is so beautiful, I know men are suppose to be described as handsome but Gareth is far beyond that he's beautiful. I don't remember what I said to him that day (a load of jibberish I expect) but I know I couldn't take my eyes of him. He was with us for quite a while and then went in for the interview and when he came out he spent time with us all again. The longest I have time I have ever spent with Gareth, if I had the same opportunity again I could make more use of the time to chat to him but that day I was a wreck. But it was the most amazing day of my life. I went home that day in disbelief that I had met him, thank goodness for photographs as I would probably of thought I had been dreaming June x Attachments:

Hi H,
I will never forget the first time I met Gareth. It was in Wolverhampton in May 2007. I was sitting in a local bar eating with lots of other Gareth fans. Keith my other half is a joker, and whilst we were talking, he said
" Gareth Gates has just walked in the door!"
" Don't be so silly!" I burst out, convinced that he was trying to wind me up.
But suddenly the tables were emptied, as excited fans left their food to get cold, and ran over to where he stood. I followed very hesitantly becos I am shy, but his minder sent us all away so Gareth could have a " quiet drink."
That was a laugh,!We all queued patiently, and after a while the minder said " Just Five Minutes"
Elaine had introduced me to Gareth when he first came in, but although he said " It's lovely to meet you." I just stood there opening and closing my mouth like a goldfish, I was in such awe of this beautifil man, I couldn't get a word out. He must have thought I wa mad!
I also remember I met Sarahjane for the first time, and she stood next me, and neither of us could speak. All the fans were lovely and friendly that day, Gareth really does have some great fans.
As I stood in the queue, I could see the minder was getting restless, and just before I got to Gareth , he said, " That's enough now."
My heart was pounding like mad, but then disappointment swept through me. I did so want to spend just a few seconds with this amazing person, whose charisma shines right through, and makes you feel as if you are in the presence of a remarkable human being. Well you are!
I was pushed from behind, and his arm came out to steady me. I was there! I still couldn't speak, but I felt th warmth of his arm around me, my first pic with him, and it was the most mind blowing moment of my life.
I have met Gareth many times since, he is absolutely wonderful to all his fans, but I have to say, that first very precious time will stay in my memory for ever.

Lovely posts June and Carol  I remmeber that day too Carol as me and andrea was there but like you say about the minder saying thats enough now,we felt disapointed too as we didnt even get a chance to get near him but was so pleased for you as it was your first time meeting him but wasn't my first plus I bet the minder just didn't realise so many of us fans would be there so it was all positive in the end will post about my first time later |

Here's my report I brought over from the OS from when I met him for the first time at the secret gig there was a competition for which took place on 29th november 2006. Hi everyone Last night was easily the best night of my life so far,i kind of believed people when they told me i would meet him one day but part of me though naa not to me it wont,but it did now i believe every word they said so for those of you here who have never met him it will happen for you I won and as some of you may know,i took sarahjane,i left my house about half 6 in the morning to get my 7 oclock coach,i was soooo nervous thinking something was going to go wrong cos i didnt think i was lucky enough,it was lovely and cosy when i got on the coach cos it was still dark,i had to buy my tickets on the actual morning wehn i asked for tickets the man teased me telling me theres none then he gave me some lol,i met sarajane at couach station in birmingham then went to her house to wait for sharon and her fiance,then off we went,still scared that something would go wrong,prob cos i couldnt believe id won lol but i tried to stay strong for sarahjane,i made sure we got a place as near to the stage as possible,we couldnt have been closer,i absolutely loved each and every song he sang,one was about his mum,i was nearly crying,he has to be the loveliest sweetest singer/star ever,apart from my freinds and family no one comes close,his new music has got to sell very very well and make him very very succesful as he was before and even more,if not then theres something seriously wrong with the public seeing him come through the door after he came off stage to let fans have their pics taken with him and stuff was so fantastic,words cant describe my excitement knowing my dream was just about to come true i was so overwhelmed about it all i cant even remeber what i said to him lol i know i forgot to tell him i love him,maybe next time lol,having hold of him to have my pic taken nothing can describe how good it felt i wish i could go back now,part of me feels sad that its over but im also happy cos it happened and also sooo many wonderful things are going to happen for each and every one of us when hes back i dont have any pics to post cos the battery on my digital camera went,what a fool forgetting to recharge it,i dont need pics for myself though cos having it in my memory is enough and will stay with me forever Everything I said in this report still stands I may of worded some things a lil different now though It was such a special evening I will never forget some of it aint clear though as this was 5 years ago already  plus I was so in awe of him just like everyone is when they meet him for the first time,well I still am whenever I see/meet him lol he's just so amazing but the first time is always that bit difference as you just cannot belive your dream has come true. love Maria xxx |
