thank you. So now it's 13th February? Don't be disappointed if it is not on the 13th. Think Gareth and the McGuire people would have updated us by now. I have seen on the internet that there is a Valentine's programme on the 9.0 time slot on the 13th. Might be wrong, but I think it is still the 27th. The article could have been done a while ago and is still under a different title to Stop my Stutter.

Maureen you are the lady who broke her wrist I believe? I do hope you are mended now! We have tried to make this site similar to the OS with report threads for Hair, Aladdin, confirmed Gareth news, then a stammering section, and ordinary chat , which is for non Gareth news, birthdays etc, as carol has already said . The part of our forum which we are most proud of is the melting pot, where our lovely M has lovingly put all Gareth's music from youtube for fans to listen to. We also have a section for Gareth's spoken interviews, where we would welcome any of you adding any interviews you may have found on youtube. If you post in the wrong place, please don't worry about it, we are very free and easy on here, our aim is to celebrate Gareth, and to make everyone of his lovely fans feel welcome on here. If it's absolutely necessary, we will move it, but what is most important is that you all feel at home here, that is what we want. love H xx Thank you carol and H. I hope Maureen can find the thread she is looking for.

We prefer the stammering thread to be kept for that if possible, present circumstances excluded, anything else about Gareth can be in Gareth chat, the same as the OS was. THe other thread GARETH CHATS, is about his speaking situations, similar name, but not to be confused with it. Please tell me if I am not explaining very well to you. love H xx

Hi Mo, You are on the right track, and you are not hard work! The board is divided into sections, and you have just gone down all the threads on one section. If you look down the page, you will see about halfway down CHAT ABOUT GARETH. the current thread at the top is ARTICLE IN THE TELEGRAPH AND ARGUS, and margaret has recently posted in it. hope this helps you. carol x

Thanks so much for those H. Have just found this aticle and pic of Gareth. Stop My Stutter (Monday 9pm) follows a group of young people who have taken that important decision to tackle their stammers by enrolling on an intense speech therapy course led by pop star Gareth Gates. At the end of the course, they have to face an audience and deliver a speech. To find out more, read Gareth's account of living with a stutter below... Living with a stammer is difficult. It's a daily uphill struggle with emotional baggage weighing you down. You can't be the person you want to be. Why? Because you have no voice. No voice = no personality + no opinion. The stammer dictates who and what you are. You end up ordering a meal or a drink you can say rather than the ones you actually want. Stammerers end up in jobs they don't care much for (i.e. sat behind a computer) to avoid having to speak to anyone. It controls you and it makes decisions for you. Stop my Stutter looks at how five young adults try to reverse this, as they make the first few steps to trying to control it. I've stammered all my life, and it's fair to say that my stammer has shaped my life. It's made me make some decisions that I'm sure I wouldn't have if I didn't suffer with this affliction. I particularly liked the idea of making this documentary with a group of people who are roughly the same age as me. Young adults living with a stutter is hard work. How do they handle job interviews? What do they do when the phone rings? How do they 'chat someone up'? All these things the average person takes for granted prove to be a stammerers' biggest challenge. This documentary shows how these 'everyday speaking situations' plague and torture these young adults, but then how a little hard work and courage can unlock a whole new life as they find a voice. Get your tissues ready, it's emotional! Attachments:
