Hello Carol, I wasn´t joking, but it´s true that I don´t know how strong this expression is for you the British. It sounds very rude to my ears, but I don´t live in Britain and you know, what you consider vulgar in one region might sound quite acceptable in another region. I understand he must have responded to some inappropriate behaviour but BECAUSE I regard Gareth as a decent person, I hadn´t expected that at all... Gareth was out with friends or family in Bradford, gets up to do Karaoke and this girl/woman either made an indecent proposition or groped him. By his tome I think it upset him.
Personally I am disgusted with the girl/woman for what she did or said to Gareth, has she no respect for him.

I agree Gareth wouldn't have said it otherwise, to be honest i have heard him call some lads who were calling him names when i was seeing him with Sarahjane but what he said i won't repeat but they did derserve being called this as it clearly upset him because you could see it in his face.

Can I give you my opinion as a man.?
Gareth is human , he's not perfect, but who is?. He doesn't go around swearing, he is religious, and it's very unusual to hear him say anything that is not polite. I know the occasion referred to, when a very unpleasant and threatening group of yobbos taunted him in front of his family. If I had been in his place, I would have done the same, and if someone groped me, haha, sorry Deborah, I would be annoyed at their lack of respect, and probably said something similar.
We are blokes, this is what we do, but Carol is right, it takes a lot to rile Gareth, he's a decent bloke! I am glad you still love him Blanka, he's a good and kind person.
I can't tell you how I know so much about him , just trust me!

Hello everyone! Thanks for your opinions, god knows it wasn´t my intention to start this kind of discussion about Gareth swearing I completely understand you all and it´s also quite clear to me why Gareth reacted this way and he had every right to do so, please don´t think I have condemned or criticised him for that - no way!!!! We are all human and I do swear sometimes too of course On the contrary, being so popular can´t be easy and bless him how well he copes with it given his shyness. I KNOW he´s a decent and down-to-earth person (although I´ve never seen him in person) and I´ve never intended to question this fact. The only thing I said was that I was suprised to hear what he said, that´s all. I´m so sorry and apologize to all of you who might have got the feeling that I´m mentoring about it. Love you all loads, you´re a great bunch of lovely friends and loyal fans, and I´m happy to be here with you!
