Hi everyone.
Booking has now opened for this gig, which starts at 7.30pm. I just booked my tickets, and managed to get the last 3 seats in the front row. I would advise anyone else who is going, and wants a good seat, to book quickly so as not to be disappointed.

A write up abut th gig, sounds good! love Carol xxx Gareth Gates performs past and present hits Published on the06 September 2013 15:43 Email thisPrint this Sponsored by DW Nye Multi-million selling singer Gareth Gates will be performing a selection of new material, old songs and popular tracks at The Capitol, Horsham, on Sunday, September 29. The show starts at 7.30pm. Born in Bradford in July, 1984, Gareth Gates always knew he wanted to be a performer. As a young boy he was head chorister for Bradford Cathedral Choir and performed solo for the Queen when she visited in 1997. In 2002 Gareth was famously runner up to will Young in the UK’s first Pop Idol, but instead of disappearing into ‘Pop Oblivion’ he carved out a successful career for himself, having hits and travelling worldwide. In the UK alone Gareth sold 3.5 million records, released three albums and had four UK number one singles. He won record of the year in 2002 and has the second best selling single of the ‘noughties’ with Unchained Melody. Gareth was only beaten for best-selling single of the decade by Will Young with the song Evergreen. Outside of the UK Gareth was awarded Best International Male in 2003/4 from MTV Asia, MTV China and MTV Taiwan. Gareth continued to struggle with his speech during this time but decided to take positive action and enrolled on the McGuire Programme. This changed his life both personally and professionally. From being unable to partake in a pre-recorded interview without agonising discomfort he made a charming appearance on the Jonathan Ross show in 2007. Gareth has since trained and is a qualified McGuire Programme course instructor, but still has to work on his speech on a daily basis. Visit www.mcguireprogramme.com. In 2008 Gareth appeared on the ITV1 TV show Dancing on Ice, in front of millions of TV viewers, coming fourth in the competition. Gareth then changed musical direction and accepted the lead role in Joseph And His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In 2009 Gareth auditioned and impressed Sir Cameron Mackintosh, which lead to the role of Marius, in the 25th anniversary tour of Les Miserables. This mammoth 10-month tour played to sell out audiences as far a field as Manchester, Norwich, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Paris, Bristol and Southampton. The tour ended at the Barbican in London with 22 special performances at the show’s original home. In June 2012 Gareth took on his most challenging role to date and played rich kid Eddie in the brand new musical Loserville at West Yorkshire Playhouse. While this role was coming to an end, Gareth was already rehearsing for Legally Blonde, as he was to join a touring production that was going to play out the last three months of the hugely successful show in the UK. Tickets for Gareth Gates at The Capitol cost £20. Call the box office on 01403 750220 or visit www.thecapitolhorsham.com.

Another nice write-up. love Carol xxx ENTERTAINMENT Gareth Gates stops off in Horsham Posted on September 26, 2013 Garethpress2012 Multi million selling pop star and runner-up of the first series of ITV’s talent show Pop Idol, Gareth Gates is coming to The Capitol, Horsham to perform a selection of hits and new material. He took some time to speak to The District Post about his upcoming performance and his return to performing solo after his time performing in musicals. “I spent the last five years in musical theatre, so I haven’t been creating new music, and I missed it, so I made a decision to write a new album and this tour is a great opportunity to showcase some of the new songs. Gareth has spent time in the West End as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and he also played the part of Marius in the 25th anniversary tour of Les Miserables. “It’s been a while since I released anything, so from the first time I released a single I’ve learnt a lot, and it really reflects that we’ve strived to write good pop songs.” Gareth is touring with Hot Leg guitarist Pete Rinaldi who he has been writing with. Gareth added: “They are our songs. I share the stage with Peter who is a great musician. We like to make every gig different and there will hopefully be a few new songs.” Gareth and Peter started an acoustic tour over the summer and have been trying out new material, they will now continue to perform up to Christmas. Gareth said: “I will also be performing loads of the old hits like Spirit in the Sky, Unchained Melody, and Any One of Us. We love to include songs people can sing along to and dance to. We will also be playing some of my favourite rock songs, we like to get a feeling for it on the night and we play a lot of songs together. “We’re going to continue with these gigs and it’s nice to be back on the road with my own songs, the new album is something that will happen eventually!” It has been well documented that Gareth has struggled with his speech and he enrolled on the McGuire Programme to work on his speech, and since then has become a qualified course instructor there. “I’m part of this amazing speech programme. It’s run by stammerers and I think that’s what makes it so powerful and successful, as we understand it and live with it.” The programme teaches stammerers to gain control of their speech. Gareth added: “I continue to work on my speech and I have good days and bad days depending on things like work and stress.” You can find out more about the programme at www.mcguireprogramme.com. Gareth Gates will be performing at The Capitol, Horsham, on Sunday, September 29, at 7.30pm. Some tickets are still available for £20.
