Gareth Gates To Coach American Idol Lazaro Arbos

Recent American Idol runner-up Lazaro Arbos will be joining The McGuire Programme to be coached by Gareth Gates, former UK Pop Idol, in Las Vegas.

Living with a stutter is not easy, it's even tougher when you're thrust into the limelight and asked to speak in front of millions of people.
For many stutterers, this is the stuff of nightmares but there are those courageous souls who's dreams trump their nightmares and they go for it - in 2002 Gareth Gates was one such stutterer when he auditioned to be the UK's first ever Pop Idol.
This challenge has more recently been accepted by Lazaro Arbos on the US version of the show, American Idol. Like the majority of stutterers, he has no problem when singing.
Lazaro reached sixth place on the show before being voted off and helped raise huge awareness of stuttering in the US. Lazaro is reported to have inspired many, much like Gareth did in the UK back in 2002.
Lazaro Arbos is now looking forward to joining The McGuire Programme to work on his stutter
He is excited and looking forward to joining The McGuire Programme to try and achieve the freedom that many others have achieved worldwide.
Gareth's appearance on the hugely popular show catapulted stuttering (or more commonly 'stammering' in the UK) into the national consciousness and pretty much every media outlet in the country covered the topic in one format or another.
Gareth didn't win that competition but he did then go on to have a hugely successful career in the public eye, giving many high profile interviews and is currently about to start a tour promoting his new music.
However, despite the commitments of a music and acting career, Gareth still regularly instructs courses for The McGuire Programme and is set to instruct and coach US Pop Idol Lazaro Arbos at the upcoming course in Las Vegas, USA.
