Good news, Gareth has his voice back. love Carol xxx Hey everyone! It’s been a bit of a scary few weeks. I’ve never lost my voice before!! It wasn’t feeling quite right when I performed a month ago but I got through most of the first few dates.. Then I sneezed and lost it totally...! I’ve seen Doctors, ENT specialists and found a great new vocal coach. I’m happy and relieved to say that I’m nearly back to normal! I bruised / haemorrhaged my vocal cord, but with a lot of rest it’s healing itself well and I’m singing and warming up my voice again. I’m due to be back singing at Butlins in Bognor this Friday and many more dates after that – but I’ll be taking it easy in between. I’m currently on the way to Euro Disney with my little Princess – no better way to recover! Look forward to seeing you all at many of the gigs I’ve got coming up soon! Thanks for all your support means so much as always Love Gareth X

Oh, what a relief, this is wonderful news and thanks for posting Carol. A lovely message from Gareth, and I think if we are honest, we have found all this scary too. Glad he has been able to work his beautiful voice a bit now and has this little break with the children at Disneyland. Yay !

This is great news to hear I agree Sue I found it scary too when I heard especially when you hear when other singers have lost their voices or have had problems with their vocals, and is not great that he is getting back and am looking forward to seeing him perform again. love Andrea xx

I am sorry I could not post this yesterday due to internet problems, which we hope to have sorted soon. I am sorry for Ann, I know she was looking forward to Banbury, and anyone else who may be disappointed. Let's hope that after Wednesday Gareth's voce will be reovered. love Carol xxx
Gareth Gates
Hi everyone
Due to Illness the dates this weekend have been postponed.
8th November - The Gwynn Hall , Port Talbot
9th November Mill Arts Centre - Banbury
You should have all been contacted by the venues now and we are arranging new dates. I'm sure you have all followed Gareth's progress and we hope to have him fully fit very soon however he has been advised by the Doctor not to sing until Wednesday.
We will keep you updated with Gareth's progress - and please accept our apologies. Unfortunately sometimes these things cannot be avoided.
Gareth HQ x

Thanks for posting Carol.i am pleased Gareth is being sensible and taking the medical advise seriously .Better to postpone gigs than risk further damage to his vocal cords.I hope he is ok for Thurs 20 th I M so looking forward to seeing him. But I will understand fully if he needs more time to recover, just as Anne has mentioned .
