I went to to see the Big Reunion concert last Tuesday with Sarahjane and Maria, they had bought VIP tickets but i couldn't afford that but was happy that Sarahjane and Maria had as Sarahjane wanted to meet Gareth, the day of the concert Sarahjane was reading the letter they had to get into the meet and greet and it said that they weren't guaranteed to meet the a particular star so her mum rang the number on the letter and explained why she was ringing, the lady said that it was random members of each band doing the meet and greet (Signing autographs and pictures) and that it changed at each venue, and this made Sarahjane get upset and thinking that she wouldn't get meet Gareth with the money they had paid for doing so, she really didn't want to get stressed like when we went to Dancing on Ice in April causing her to have a mini stroke, this was explained to the lady on the phone and she said we were to talk to the people on the desk when we got there. We arrived at the LG Arena at around 3 o'clock, we had to sign in for the meet and greet at 3-15pm, once inside we went to the desk and me and maria explained the situation the lady said that there wasn't any guarantee that we woud meet Gareth but would see what they could do, i said that i didn't have a vip ticket but they lady allowed me to go in as Sarahjane's carer but i wasn't allowed any autographs or a pic so thought thats ok as long as Sarahjane and Maria got there's
Sarahjane and Maria were given free programmes and passes and we were given a wristband each, we were taken through and had to wait till 4.30pm, the security guy told everyone to lineup, i went to ask him about our situation but before i could say anything he said he knew our situation and was all sorted and told us to line up when ready, so we joined the queue we were only in the line for about 3minutes when the security guy came to us and said to follow him we passed the table where some band members were signing autographs to where a curtain had been put acrosss where they were doing the photo's, whe we got there we saw Gareth in a line with other group members, Sarahajne went for her pic first, one with all of them then one just with Gareth, i told Maria to go for hers but as i was just infront of her Gareth beckoned me to come forward i wasn't going to as hadn't paid for this LoL! but went anyway then Maria had hers, we then joined the line for the autographs i didn't have a programme like i said but did have my youngest daughters autograph book and used that to get them LoL! I told Adam Rickett's that it wasn't for me and he said " yeah of course its not" LoL!. After that we went to find Hayley and her Daughter as they were meeting us as Maria had her tickets, we had some chips and a drink before we went to our seat. Finally we went to our seats, Block A row Q (flooring area) thought this would be quite far back was suprised
to find it wasn't that far back. The show was brilliant loved all the songs, new vitually all of them LoL! i have to admit i still listen to the songs now LoL! only bands i didn't really remember were Damage and 3T but they were good too, 5th strory were well recieved, everyone liked Adam Ricketts singing Breathe again Kenzie joked that everyone just wanted to see Adam naked in a box just like in the video everybody was screaming yes to that LoL! Everyone sang along to Freak by Dane Bowers there was no sign of Kav they said he was ill and asked everyone to wish him well but there were loud boos from the audience eeekkk Gareth ended the show with Spirit In The Sky with everyone singing and clapping along. Brilliant show really enjoyed it. love Andrea xx
