Had a great night in Birmingham on Monday, I travelled to Sarahjane's with Maria on Monday morning. We got ourselves ready around 12pm including Sarahjane's Mum as she came to, we got a taxi at about 2.30pm and arrived at 3pm we then proceded to look for the Glee club which was not a problem, we were meeting up with Hayley and her daughter too. We had a walk around to see if there was another entrance to the Glee club and the only entrance we found was the trade entrance and while we were waiting there we heard the door shut behind us but didn't see who it was, but then we were looking down the road and Sarahjane said there's Gareth halfway down the street her mum shouted but he didn't hear her so i shouted and he waved to acknowledge that he heard me (think it was because i have a big gob lol!) We then decided to go somewhere for a drink to get warm and meet up with Hayley and her daughter. At 4pm we left to go stand outside and wait to get in as we had VIP tickets, we were glad to get inside at 6pm as it was freezing standing outside for 3hrs lol!. As we were first inline we got up the stairs and there was Gareth waiting, i went first got a hug off him then a picture then he signed a picture for me to, and had a chat with Gareth.s dad too he thanked me for supporting Gareth etc, after we had all seen him we made our way to the front row as it was fist come first serve. Cherry Bomb Girls wee on first had seen them once before at Wednesbury, they were good i enjoyed hearing them sing, after them it was Jai and he sang well he had a little banter with some girls on the front row,but then his backing tracks went up the wall and it kind of put him off abit but he carried on even sang the same song twice, the second time singing it acapella which was good. During the interval saw Carol who was with Debbie, it was lovely to meet you Debbie afer all this time hope to meet you agian someday and maybe H too one day 
The it was time for the man himself 
Gareth was brillint as always belting out his songs old and new, you could see he was struggling with his voice occasionally as he kept rubbing his throat, on time when he was at the piano singing Angel on my Shoulder his voice did go slightly but he carried on bless him, everyone sang along helping him out on Unchained melody, by the end everyone was on there feet clapping and singing. After he show we all left and made our way out saw Ann and her husband Peter as we made our way to the exit, we made our way to the trade entrance we found earlier and waited for Gareth to come out, Carol and her husband along with Debbie and Ann and her husband were also waiting outside, but they left after awhile as it was getting late, but we still waited lol! lots of people came out of the exit but none were Gareth of course, then Pete came out and we asked if Gareth would be coming out this way and he said yes, he was going to get Gareths car and bring it around so they could load upp all the gear in it. Gareths dad came out too and i had another little chat with him, finally Gareth came out by this time it was about midnight lol! we each got a hug off him and another pic to, bless him though his voice had really gone rough and he could hardly speak so we said bye and he went on his way, we got a taxi back to Sarahjane's arrived back at about 1am, Sarahjane's mum kindly made us all a hot chocolate after that we went to bed. Me and Maria left later that day.
