NEWS Gareth Gates, Paul Burling and Britain's Got Talent stars to raise money for Demelza and Iflield charities at Orchard Theatre gala
TV, music and theatre stars will take to the stage in Dartford to raise money for two charities that help sick children.
Britain’s Got Talent stars Paul Burling, Twist and Pulse and Stavros Flatley will be joined by chart topper Gareth Gates, TV star Bobby Davro and one-half of music legends Chas and Dave, Chas Hodges at the Orchard Theatre on March 22.
The charity gala will raise money for Demelza children’s hospice and Ilfield School, which helps children with profound learning difficulties.
In addition to the charity gala, the theatre is also running a growing number of accessible performances to suit all audiences, including those that cannot attend standard shows.
Its latest pantomime, Peter Pan, had special signed, relaxed and audio described performances. To Kill a Mockingbird, which is at The Orchard from March 3 to 7, will feature an audio described show on March 7 at 2pm where visually impaired audience members can listen to commentary about what is happening on stage via an earpiece or headset when there is no dialogue.
The Rogers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma, starring Gary Wilmot and Belinda Lang from June 9 to 13, will feature a signed performance on June 11 at 7.30pm, as will the satirical puppet show Avenue Q, on June 25.
The classic thriller, An Inspector Calls (September 10 to 19) will have a captioned performance on September 19, converting spoken word, sound effects and off stage noises into text.
The Orchard’s next pantomime, Dick Whittington, will also have a range of accessible performances.

There is a new gig just announced at Hemel Hempstead on Gareth's Facebook page. For some reason I don't know, it won't let me copy and paste it. Please check Gareth's page for full details.
