Went to see Robin Hood on Easter Saturday In Burnley with my daughter Katie, we made a day of as wasn't seeing it till the evening we arrived in good time before Gareth was due to arrive for the afternoon show so went for a walk around the town centre for a bit before heading back to the theatre at 12.30pm Gareth finally arrived just after 1pm we were stood at the front of the theatre thinking that Gareth would be entering through the main door because most of the other members of the cast went through this way when they arrived, but nope Gareth decided to go through the back door, we managed to catch him before he went in, he gave me hug asked how i was got a picture each and i gave him a poster which i had made, none done one in ages sorry didn't take a pic of it to show you all. We then left to go for another walk around the shops before the evening show, did a bit of shopping too bought some easter eggs :} and some computer games some of which we couldn't find in the shops in Manchester, we found a wetherspoons pub so went in to have a drink and something to eat before the show. Finally it was time to go in the theatre it was quite small inside just one floor of seats was pretty much full too we were on the front row. Loved the show from start to finish, lines were forgot a lot of the time as they were being caught out from shouts from the audience lol, in one scene where Maid Marion and Robin Hood are sat on the wall singing Unchained Melody, Robin was sat behind Maid Marion and her skirt became undone and Gareth was trying to refasten it up the audience were all laughing as he tried to do this making them both unable to sing then the guy playing Willy Scarlett climbed up behind Gareth and starting messing around they managed to sing a little bit more till finally the scene ended. The part where they all sang the 12 days of Easter was hilarious with things flying all of the place, guys dressed as sumo wrestlers were slipping on the stage lol and then we got rather wet when the water guns came out, the kids in the audience had fun throwing these huge footballs around, everything was returned to the stage apart from one football that was in front of me so i picked it up and threw it back on to the stage it hit Graham Cole (The Sheriff) on the head as i did so and he looked at me smiled and squirted me with the water gun he still had in his hand making me even more wet lol, saw Gareth smile then too. In one scene where they had to get this key to the cell, lines were forgot as a member of the audience threw an ice cream to dame dolly and to willy scarlett too which caused them to stop what they were doing lol and also the guy threw one to the sheriff to making him forget his lines too which made it funny on the whole, in one part Dame dolly pointed at me and accused me of making up my own jokes, saying i had a dirty mind, lol we both thouroughly enjoyed the show was going to throw Gareth a rose or two at the end put didn't get ]hance never mind i'll save them till xmas panto. here are our pics. Love Andrea xx
