I was so looking forward to the Stamford gig but leading up to it i was barely fit to go, and the decision to go was absolutelylast minute and i just hoped i would be alright
We finally arrived just before they opened the doors and was greeted by Carol and Keith and Kirsty and her mum ,it was so good to see them ,and be back doing something 'Gareth ' again .
We all had seats on the front row and it wasn't long before the cheer went up and Gareth came on the stage .Hearing his voice again was the best therapy ever. The way he sang the slower than usual version of @sunshine' and 'Hold on Tight ' was absolutely beautiful and magical ., and when he eventually sang his rock songs he called everyone down to front .Kirstys mum held on to me and put me right up to the stage and Jill appeared on my other side and Peter had moved away to get some photos. Gareth was enjoying himself , rocking away , as we all were accompaned by his guitarist Mark .But it always ends too soon .
Afterwards we all headed outside and waited for Gareth to come out which he did after a while . It was such a happy time with him being with us . We all had pics with him and Peter said to him how tight the coat is he wears on stage now , meaning his muscles fill it out so much ,and Gareth laughed and agreed ,and when i had my arms round him getting a lovely hug OMG i couldn't believe how muscular he was .Kirsty's mum had told me he was wearing very tight jeans on stage so i cheekily asked him if i could feel his leg so he lifted it up so i feel his calf muscles to which everone 'whooped' and whistled and we all had a good laugh ,including Gareth
What a way to end a fantastic evening , i'm so glad i managed to go
