It was touch & go whether we could go to the panto because of the snow and ice and two cancelled performances but we checked with the theatre and Peter was sure the roads would be ok by then , so off we went . I had something to give Gareth and i hoped we would see him arrive but as we walked round to the back of the theatre Peter spotted him disappearing down the alley to the stage door. Had we been 30 seconds earlier we'd have caught him. Peter opened the stage door and spoke to someone who confirmed he had just signed in . We said we had something for Gareth and she promised faithfully she would make sure he would receive it . At the main entrance Peter couldn'd believe the number of children waiting to go in , i think they had all arrived in 2 coaches . Our seats were in the middle at the front and the show was very funny , and Doreen was hilarious . The noise from the children was deafening . It was wondefull to hear Gareth sing Unchained Melody from start to finish, it was lovely and he sang it so well . Can't remember what else he sang but to hear him sing again was very special .It was so nice to see Gareth in a different panto and it was one of the best we've seen . Gareth didn't come out after the matinee so we tramped back through the snow and ice to the car , it was very cold . I felt very happy that i'd seen him after such a long time .

So glad you managed to get to the panto Ann, and enjoyed it so much. I loved the animals in costume, it was something new and very colourful. We also went to the matinee on 15th, and there were lots of children there too. They all seemed to love it. I am sorry you didn't get to see Gareth. I have also done a report, and a blog, which I am adding to it today, as we had a few hectic days, and am still trying to catch up at home. Love Carol xxx
