Unexpectedly Kirsty Wadd phoned me to ask if i wanted their spare ticket on the front row , if Peter could book a seat nearby. It was very good of her and as it was her birthday we managed to get a ticket right behind on the 2nd row.
The journey there was dreadful , gale force winds and driving rain and the traffic on the M6 was horrendous., and it was a relief to arrive safely. We arranged to meet Kirsty at the stage door and she soon arrived with her mum , dad , gran and granddad. It was lovely to see them all again.
After just a few minutes Gareth appeared so we al got a pic and he signed my program . It was wonderful to hear his voice again , he had just finished the matinee and was going off to find his family somewhere but he was in no hurry. When he'd gone i couldn't help jumping up and down with excitement as we didn't see him last time we went. A great start to our evening.
Again it was a really great show and enjoyed it even more this time .At the interval Peter saw Fay with Missy getting a drink , but we didn't intrude and Peter saw them going back to their seats. The whole show was very entertaining and the young audience were in full voice and loving it . Gareth sang beautifully as ever , it was just magic to hear him .
Back at the stage door there was a lttle crowd waiting for Gareth and we only had to wait a few minutes . He came out with Fay and Missy , and again he was in no hurry, he spent time doing pics and signing. When it was my turn i couldn't get my arms round him because of a big ruck-sack he had on him and i said to him " are you going hiking Gareth", he laughed at that and then i said " i know what you're going to do - climb that beanstalk - " . Hethought that was hilarious and every one else laughed to. It was a brilliant end to the evening and when i asked Peter later where Gareth had signed my ticket he'd written ' Anne & Peter
love Gareth '
How lovely was that! I went home beaming all over
