Good evening ladies, and our couple of loyal male fans too. I hope everyone is well. I have learned since I became a moderator on these boards, that Mr Gareth Gates is a man of many talents. He succeeds at everything he does, and as fans, you have the right to be extremely proud of him. As if that wasn't enough, I can tell from your reports that postively glow with happiness, and your wonderful pictures, that he has great people skills, and he certainly has a huge affection for all of you , his fans.
So I am dividing Gareth into 3 parts haha, not really!
1 Gareth the Pop Star,
2 Gareth the Ice Skater
3 Gareth the Musical Theatre Star
Can you my lovely friends tell me which role out of the 3 you enjoy Gareth doing the most, and why?
I know he is also a great actor and comedian, and has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of stammmering, and I applaud all that, but it is those 3 categories I am interested in.
I look forward to your comments.

WELL H I AM OVER 80 YEARS OLD, NOT A FAN OF POP MUSIC, BUT WHEN I SAW GARETH IN LES MIS, I FELL FOR HIM JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
SINCE I JOINED THIS BOARD I HAVE SEEN PICTURES OF HIM WITH THE FANS, AND CAN SEE HE IS A LOVELY MAN!
MY ANSWER WOULD HAVE TO BE GARETH THE THEATRE STAR

Thank you for this thread H, it's great fun!
I love everything Gareth does, he is a star in every way, but when he is doing a gig, I feel that he enjoys that the most, and he takes me with him in spirit, so I am saying Gareth the Pop star.
It was also wonderful seeing him in Dancing on Ice too, he was so graceful, but in my heart he will always be Gareth the Pop Star.

JUST FOUND THIS THREAD , THANK YOU H . I LOVE TO SEE GARETH WHEN HE CAN EXPRESS HIMSELF HIS OWN WAY IN MUSIC. AS A POP STAR HE CAN BE HIMSELF COMPLETLY AND ALL HIS EXPRESSIONS AND BODY LANGUIGE ARE FROM THE HEART, NOT STAGED.. I DO LOVE TO SEE HIM IN THEATRE OR SKATEING BUT FOR ME, HE IS THE POP STAR HE WAS BORN TO BE.  |

Gareth was born to be a Po Star  I love everything he does, everything he is but as a singer and performer on the stage, he shines there is nothing better he is amazing. Bring back Gareth Gates the Pop Star! |

Gareth for me when he is singing songs he loves whether they be his own or cover versions as he expresses his feelings in the music in his body language and facial expressions he was deffo born to be a Pop Star But i love him being in Musicals etc as he takes on a different person and you get drawn into the characters world through Gareths eyes lol So like i said Gareth the Pop Star is the one for me |

Same as everyone else. I l have loved Gareth in everything he has done and he has succeeded in all he has tried but there is something magical in Gareth the Popstar.

I hope nobody minds me saying that I first started following Gareth when he was on Dancing on Ice. To my shame I didn't follow him on Pop Idol, but when I saw him on the ice, how handsome he is, what gorgeous costumes he wore, his chemistry with Maria, I was totally smitten. He did so well to get to the semis, and I can honestly say. DOI has never been the same for me since.
He has a great voice I admit, but to see him on TV every week, then on the tour was amazing, so I would have to say.

I don't mind at all Cathy its actually interesting to see your view. For me if I had to choose one it would be Gareth the pop star or rather Gareth the singer as he can sing anything he does has such an amazing voice. |
