Thanks for this Carol, I think its great that Gareth has made the top ten actors of Les Mis as we all know he was an amazing Marius, but reading down the list I was surprised to see a few of the 25th anniversary concert people there when I think others deserved to be, it has been said that JOJ was the best ever JVJ but he didn't make the top ten actors!!! the guy that sang at the concert as JVJ got it JVJ ?? 8. Gareth Gates – (UK tour 2010 – 25th Anniversary Production, Barbican. West End 2011) I saw Gareth at the Barbican and he was bl***y amazing the best I saw him as Marius . Despite many critics being initially surprised at the popstar’s crossover into a heavily sung musical, Gates met the vocal demands of the show and managed to deliver an honest portrayal of Marius that added to the fresh production qualities.

No 8 ,Well done Gareth !!!! Getting credit for his brill performance so deserved.
I'm also surprised Margaret that JOJ wasn't mentioned.He was voted the best JVJ ever in another poll.Alfie Boe hasn't been in the role for long,Which means in comparison not so many ppl would have seen him.I love Alfie singing popular Ballads/Love songs etc but not keen on him singing the more serious stuff.
Colm Wilkinson is my fav singing Bring Him Home.Fantastic.
Think he was the first JVJ
