here i go. going to try and tell u about the course.
i applied for the course i think it was march time last year. when i applied i didnt no gareth was going to instrced the course. it was about a mouth of so after i found out by the net that he was going to run it, when i found out i was so pleased. in the back of my mind i thought maybe i would see him there as he sometimes goes to course but not instrced it. the time passed it took forever to come.
the day finally arrived. i had a left there it was in a hotel in bourenmouth i was dropped off by my parents. oh my god i was scared being left there. they went i got chatting to some girls n we walked around the place and who did we see but mr gareth gates
. they went uo n shooked his hand and introudced themselves and then i did. n yes i stammered it. he was nice and friendly and said welcome to the course. . i then went into a big room which was filled up with lots of people. i had to sit at the front with the other new students. we had some introductions from people and then gareth came up and spoke. i cant remebered what he said i was so scared about what was next . i then had to go up in front of maybe 60 people and talk. the worst thing ever. i stammered yet again. i didnt no my stammer was that bad until then. i came away and just cried.
the next day:
we had to get up early go down to the room and learn the new tencquie (if u have any questions about this please ask) gareth was up the front for most of it. telling us what to do. in the evening we were learning the tencquie well. we all had a chance to stand up and say our names and addesses. and i did. standing in front of me during this was gareth. we had to give eye contact. i said it all without stammering gareth helped me
the next day:
we worked thrugh the tencquie.
on the afternoon of this day we had to go around bourenmouth with another student they had to soeak to 100 strangers. this really got to me as everyone was so so so nice and friendly.
in the evenig we had a telephone session this was really good gareth rang me. i never like to used the phone unit now i think i spoke to ten people that night :. then we had a seesion with gareth up the front were we could ask questions this was good gareth had some good details about his life and stammer.
the next day:
i had to go out and me speak to 100n strangers and tell then about mysekf and the course. i spoke to 110. this was a hreat feeling. the next thing really scared my. publc speaking. i was so scared. i got up there and done it somethink just kicked in. i said it all without stammering omg best feeling ever #
the final day we had goodbye speeching standing up in the same place as the wednesdasy nigh. but i telll u what with different feeling and a different mind set. i done it all. made me n gareth cry.
this course really had changed me i now have confidence in myself and sam proud of who i am. its the best. gareth really help me and still does when we speak on phone. :?)
