Hi Folks,
Not long got Back from Les Mis In Birmingham. It was awesome. Gareth was Awesome.
I had to work this morning and It was a bit of a rush to get over to the Hippodrome for 2pm. My friend had bought the tickets for my Birthday.
So there we were all in a rush to get there and then find the seats and its so awful when everyone has to get up to let you sit down. Having got that bit all sorted , there was an announcement about some changes to the cast, now to be honest I wasn't listening properly and as soon as the announcement happened , the woman behind me mentioned Gareth. My heart came in my mouth and I was just going to turn round and ask her what she heard because I didn't and it started arghhhhhhhhh.
With all this sudden uncertaintly I got a bit lost at the beginning and because I haven't been before didn't realise that Gareth doesn't come on for a bit.
I was so relieved when I saw him and so very very impressed. I laughed I cried and he was awesome. Empty chairs and Tables was something else. He certainly fought for his woman! Marius is perfect for him. The whole cast is brilliant to be honest.
When Eponine Dies in Marius's arms it was getting everyone going. Gareth played it so real, you believed it.
When Valjean was praying to God to save Marius, the night the barricade fell and Gareth was there asleep I couldn't help but get all emotional , I thought give me half a chance and I'll be up there saving him myself. So moving.
By the end I was in floods of tears.
The whole house gave a standing ovation and there were plenty of shouts for Gareth.
Trish and I went to the stage door afterwards , we havn't had much luck in the past. Dancing on Ice Gareth never came out. The Adelphi Gareth was Ill and never came out............so 3rd time Lucky

He was gorgeous and patient and gave everyone time and concideration, there was a young girl who said she had waited 8 years to catch him , she started to cry and I said Oh No don't cry you will never see him, you will miss all his gorgeousness. Bless her.
I have a picture of Trish and Gareth that I have downloaded so enjoy! I did get one but I look like I need certifying so thats staying here! lol Gareth looks Gorgeous!.
Gareth is very thin, or am I just being a bit of a mother hen? No Wander the actor who plays Valjean picked Gareth up so easily and carried him.
Gareth Gates you are AWESOME!
