We set off at 11 00 for Woking and picked up Linda at Potters Bar,arrived at the stage door about 12 45 pm to see Ann who told us Gareth had come out earlier, so decided to wait and see him as he came back. He came back about 1 30pm and by this time Vera and June had joined us at the stage door. I asked Gareth how he was and he grimaced and touched both sides of his throat, so still suffering, and not properly over his throat infection, though you would never have thought it to look at him.
As everyone was getting a quick pic I did too and asked him if he would be out after, to which he said yes.
So then we just had time to go in the foyer for a quick coffee before taking our front row seats for the show, my husband was not impressed with the front row as he says the orchestra drowns out the singing and you have to look up too much. June was next to us and Vera on the row behind. It was nice to see them again and Ann & Peter, who were also on the front row at the other side.
Just as were on our way in, a lady had been listening to us talking and asked me if I knew knew Gareth, I told her we had been fans for a long time and met him many times. Her daughter had followed him right from Pop Idol and they had come all the way from the Isle-Of-Wight to see him. They had never met him so I sujested they came to the stage door with us after.As we sat down they were sitting next to us on the end of the row.
Then it was time for the curtain to go up.
First on were the dancers then Muddles who made a few references to a Pop Idol leading up to Gareth making his entrance. Then the Dancers came on again and Gareth finally made his entrance to gasps and cheers from the audience.
He looked magnificent in his Prince Charming outfit and very handsome. He sang a song I had never heard before think it may have just been made up for the panto.
He has a very big speaking part that he handled brilliantly and I was so proud of him as he was word perfect.Gareth certainly loves a challenge.
He sang 4 songs all together can't remember the order but two I had never heard of and he sang Heaven which is always a favourite of Gareths and finished the show with SITS.
There was a funny scene where Gareth Muddles and Hermon (Minty from Eastenders) were sat on a bench trying to ward of the Monsters and Gareth sujested they sing SITS then, but instead they sang a funny song about Monsters with the Monsters scared them away one by one away. That was hilarious.
Claire Sweeney made a Wicked Queen, and the Dwarfs were so adorable and funny, all real live Dwarfs not children as in some Panto's. Grumbly was my favourite.
It was all over much too quickly and before we knew it we were making our way outto the Stage Door.
The lady and her daughter came with us, only to find when we got to the Stage Door, that they had dropped their programme on the way out and lost it, so June kindly gave them hers as she was staying over so could get another the next day.
We waited about 20 minutes and Gareth came out.
I told him how far they had come and had never met him before so he was his usual lovely self and asked the daughters name which was Maggie and signed her programme for her. They didn't have a camera on them so Brian took a pic on ours and I took her e-mail address to forward it on. So they both went home very happy and in a hurry as they had a long way to go and a Ferry to catch.
It always makes me happy to see someones face who has never met Gareth before and the happiness on that girls face said everything.
We all had another pic taken with him as my other was on Vera's camera, and then he was off down the road on his own, probably for something to eat before the evening show.
I told him to take care as I always do, the Mum coming out in me.
I hope that as many of you as possible manage to see the Panto as you will love it and have a memorable time just as we did.
Forgot to say I asked Gareth if Suzzanne and Missy had been yesterday and he said no, they were going today.

dunno if he sent it gareth or something lol.(hope it dont end up on youtube lol) aimee who played snow white was lovely too as was claire sweeny and the 7 dwarfs two was female.they was all so greaful for andy cane and card and gingerbread men from andrea.gareth must of had been in very early as we was there at 11 something.we went inside and got programme i got one for my mom too.went got our seats centre of the first row bb.could not believe how good the seats was hehe did not know was front row lol.gareth was so handsome as prince he talked in a posh kinda voice.he sang quite a few songs during the show he sang and spoke his lines so well.the show was amazing herman the henchman keep getting called minty lol.oh and we met muddles the jester outside he gave us signed picture each hayley had a mrs santa hat on.at one point when prince comes on and there white smokey stuff on ground it was in our faces lol.i think gareth was a naughty lad and told muddles and minty to pick on andrea during the show 
we saw gareth going in he looked very handsome told him i needed hug as had fell over he asked where i pointed to round the corner and he said aww you need be careful and gave me big hug which had photo at same time so needed the hug.andrea had a photo too and we gave him some pressents i gave him his favourite tipple and andrea had some things for missy and gareth and suzanne.maria text to say she might be late as she missed her coach and had come by train.we went inside and found our seats to the right of the stage at the front.we saw maria come in and go to her seat centre stage.the show was great we noticed a few changes this time like muddles saying about gareths royal mejesticals and testimonials to which cracked up gareth.snow white was not lifted up by the dancers that was another change.at the part where before looking for snow white and ask where she is they not do that this time.muddles teased gareth saying you gonna follow me or you gonna sing again.gareth laughed and looked at audience and said erm im staying here spose i should sing and laughed.there was alot of winding up of minty abbout eastenders and garet about pop idol.muddles was like spirit in sky rubbish lol gareth said but it was no one for 3 weeks to which muddles replied that was cause it was for comic relief.gareth also had trouble putting his sword away lmao.the end was hillarious as andrea threw on to the stage a red garter and something else.muddles dived at them again and as curtain went down could see gareth saying there mine.curtain went up and gareth was putting the garter on his thigh then muddled put the other item on gareths head like a hat but then claire sweeney pulled it down over gareths nose and mouth like a mask to which amuzed everyone.gareth looked at us and was grinning claire looked at us and was laughing her head off.went to stage door with maria and waited but gareth did not come out that way found out he came out other way got something to eat then went back in and fell asleep some of the dwarfs told us he was asleep but they woke him up but thn think he nodded back off.we had a chat to loopy about les mis she was really sweet.we then went mc donalds for something to eat and then went in theatre to sit down for abit and go toilet.returned to stage door and we waited saw alot of the cast come out and the children in the show crying bless them.gareth came out last no surprise lol most of the crowd had dispearesed.we let these little kids go first having photo,s with gareth and then he came to us.we let maria go first she had her programme signed and a photo with gareth.then me and andrea had a photo each.saw gareth signing for some people and children.then we had our foam hand signed to which gareth put something very funny on it lol on andreas then asked what i wanted on mine i said same lol.gareth trotted off and andrea realised she had forgot to give him something so she ran and he was still round corner talking to some people andrea gave him what she had forgotten to give him to which gareth said how could you forget that.we went to train station had a performance trying to get maria a train ticket lol.could only get ticket to clapham junction to which we had change to victoria.train was due in 3 mins so maria came to get on train with us and we walked back to the coach station me and andrea sniggering at the crime maria had commited
