I am absolutely gutted Gareth has gone out two beautiful performances, and improving all the time. I thought he was far better than Sam, but sadly the judges didn't. I am not really bothered about watching it now, it won't be the same without him.

I knew if Gareth was in the skate off against any of them the judges would save the ex champion, but after seeing Gareth's performnce I thought he stood a chance but sadly we lost him. Love June x

If you put your recording on Youtube, could you send me the link hun, have just written a blog about his exit, but so far nothing has been put on youtube so I had to use the video of week 3. I loved all his performances, but Beautiful day was exquisite, so graceful and controlled whereas Sam was frantic to stay in IMO. love Carol xxx

Carol my recordings are on V+ Box I can't upload them to the internet unless someone can tell me how.
In the past they have said if you have a bad skate you can be out unfortunately for Gareth after 2 amazing skates he was out. Gareth has tweeted he's ok and its time to move on. We are so lucky that every time a door closes another one opens and Gareth gives us something else.

Gareth is right we have to move on, he has many more exciting things to share with us. Thursday nights are exciting now as well! This is a very kind writ-up about his departure, he has earned himself a lot of respect, especially after te way Jason continually attacked him. At least JG gave it a rest last night.

Gareth Gates was voted off 'Dancing on Ice All-Stars' tonight (09.02.14).
The 29-year-old singer, who first rose to fame on 'Pop Idol' in 2002, became the latest star to leave the ITV series after losing a skate-off against former 'EastEnders' star Sam Attwater.
Despite impressing judges Jason Gardiner, Ashley Roberts, Robin Cousins and Karen Barber with his performance to Wham!'s hit 'Freedom,' during which he wore a George Michael-style blonde wig, Gareth and his professional partner, Brianne Delcourt, failed to win them over with their follow up routine to U2's 'Beautiful Day.'
All four judges chose to save 28-year-old Sam.
Upon hearing the result, the modest star - who is also appearing on 'The Big Reunion' as part of boy band 5th Story - gave credit to his partner as he departed the rink.
He said: ''Never mind, it has been amazing and I would like to thank this amazing lady Brianne. Bless you all, thank you.''
Delcourt said that the singer had been a ''pleasure to work with''.
'Dancing on Ice All-Stars,' which is the show's final series, continues next Sunday (February 16) at 6.15pm on ITV.

Lovely blog carol. Gareth is on at 11.40 and apparently is hungover. Here is another respectful write-up from the Mirror about Gareth's exit. love H xx Feb 09, 2014 21:27 By Rob Leigh 0 Comments Share Share Tweet +1 Email George Michael-style blonde wig wasn't enough to save singer from the skate off RexWigging out: Gareth Gates lost the skate off to Sam Attwater Gareth Gates became the latest star voted off Dancing on Ice tonight, losing a skate off to Sam Attwater. Judges Jason Gardiner and Karen Barber agreed that it had been his best showing of the series. “That was beautiful tonight,” added Ashley Roberts. Olympic skating legends Torvill and Dean marked the 30th anniversary of their gold medal-winning Bolero triumph by getting in on the 1980s theme, too - by skating to Frankie Goes To Hollywood's The Power of Love. Dancing on Ice's last series continues next weekend, with six contestants still in the competition.

Just to remind everyone that Gareth returns to the ice tonight for one last time on the show with all the other skaters. I think it's only for a brief time, but he looks so fit on the ice and anywhere in fact, I can't wait! love Carol xxx
